Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia (March 13)

We arrive at Port Klang from the north.  The Boustead Cruise Terminal was toward the north end of the channel.
We docked about 9:00 AM after one failed attempt to get to the inside of the pier so that a larger liner could have the outer side.
Today's tour - The Best of Kuala Lumpur - began at the Royal Selangor pewter factory.  The visitor center was a clear indication that a lot of tours passed through the doors.  This was affirmed by the professionalism of the tour through the plant.

It was quite an interesting tour, although it included an overly-long time at the gift shop. And I did come away with a nice set of cufflinks.
Back on the bus, we proceeded to a location where we had could take a picture of the Petronas Twin Towers.
From there we continued on the bus to the National Monument.
We walked a short distance through the National Lumpur Lake Gardens on route back to our bus.
Our next destination was the National Mosque which we were only permitted to see from the outside.
Crossing the street, we saw the Moorish architecture of the Old Railway Station.
Reboarding the bus, we moved on to Independence Square (Merdeka Square). In additional to sports fields and an impressively large video display, located there is one of the tallest flagpoles in the world.  It tops out at 328 feet.
Across the street was the Sultan Abdul Samad Building.
Our last stop on the tour was the Central Market, a two-story maze of shops and eateries.
We returned to Port Klang.  INSIGNIA proceeded south down the channel to open sea.
