Descending into Cape Town, South Africa |
Another great Emirates experience - on time departure, on time arrival and good service on route. Unfortunately beyond their control was our bumping along at 36,000 feet for the first three hours of the flight.
We zipped through Immigration and Customs, immediately connected with our driver and were able to check into the Victoria & Alfred early. We got freshened up, did some unpacking and headed for lunch. Friendly service, good food and a view of the harbor. From disembarking the plane to ordering lunch took less than three hours. The total trip from Marion to hotel was about 34 hours.
After lunch we walked around for a while, then relaxed in our room, working hard not to lay down, until dinnertime.
